Accessing Pages & Design

Managing the Left Navigation Menu
A key part of your event is the left navigation menu. Your attendees will see two versions of this menu, one before they log in and one after they log in. You can customize the items that appear on each of these menus, as well as their order, from Pages & Design.
Your event will be pre-populated with a set of pages. You can add additional pages by clicking New Page + Icon or edit/remove pages by clicking the ellipses icon. Re-order pages by clicking and dragging them up and down.
Additionally, you can also edit an existing page by clicking the ellipses icon right next to the page name and you can customize the properties of a page.

Updating the Event Theme
Click the Themes button to customize your event theme. You can click the back arrow (a) to select a base theme from the four default themes and use the Colors (b) and Fonts (c) tabs to update the default themes.
Editing Pages and Components
Select a page from the navigation menu to begin editing a specific page. Like the left navigation menu, each page is pre-built with various sections, called components. Click and drag each component to rearrange the page layout, or use the pencil and trash can icons to edit or remove the component.
Add components to the page by clicking +Component, selecting from the component list, then choosing a component layout.
Use the tabs at the top of the Manage Component sidebar (which appears when you click the pencil icon) to edit the various aspects of the component. (These tabs differ from component to component.)
Many components will also have an Add New button that allows you to create items that will be displayed in that component. For example, you can easily create speakers by opening and managing the Speakers component.
Editing the Top Menu Rail
With Social27 you can also customize the top menu rail with a simple click of a button. You can turn off the icons that are not required and it instantly updates on the event site. You can turn off/ on Manage Events, Event workspace, Live Analytics, My Agenda, Notifications, Support Email, Contact Us, and My Profile ( Soapbox and Hello World).
Note: As an event owner you can change the contact us email by clicking the pencil icon or you can also disable hello world and soapbox videos by toggling them off. Toggling off My profile will automatically turn off Soapbox and Hello World from the Event Site. |
Creating A Sub Menu
With Social 27 Designer we can create Submenu/Subpages and link them to the existing pages. This feature is often used when we have a lot of pages/icons to show in the left menu rail. To organize the left menu rail we can simply use this feature to club the common pages together.
Note:- This feature cannot be used with Sign Up Page, Sign In Page. Landing Page, Roundtable Page, Personalized Page, and Networking Lounge Page |
In order to enable a Submenu simply select the ellipsis icon right next to Home Page and select the button " Add Sub Page" and a new Subpage with be added under the home page.
From the Social27 Designer, we can edit the Name of the Sub Page ( we can add the name in 9 different languages), Publish/Unpublish the Sub Page we can set the priority of the submenu/pages in case of multiple pages, and finally, we can delete the pages as well.
Previewing Your Event
Use the preview buttons at the top of the page to toggle between different device views or navigate to the Overview page and click View Event to open the event site in a new tab.
Note: When opening your event preview in a new tab, only components that have content will be displayed. In other words, if you haven’t yet uploaded any speakers to the event, the Speakers component on the event Home page will not appear. |
