Once you’ve created a ticket, it will appear on the Tickets page where you can click the ellipses icon at any time to edit or delete it.
Setting Up Stripe
If you would like to charge for your tickets, you will need to create and connect a Stripe account. To do this, click Setup Stripe. You’ll be taken to your workspace’s Integration page where you can select Stripe from the list of available options. Click Activate to initiate the integration then Manage Details to connect your Stripe account. You’ll be taken to a new page where you can provide your Stripe account information and complete the integration.
Once you’ve provided all information required to connect your Stripe account, you’ll be taken back to the Social27 Workspace page. To return to working on your event, navigate to your workspace and event. When you return to the Content > Tickets > Create Event Ticket, you’ll see that the Setup Stripe link no longer appears, and you can create a paid ticket.
Using Ticket Dates
The event ticket start and end dates can be very useful in connection with your event registration. Two use cases related to tickets dates are detailed below.
-
Ticket Sale Start Date: The Ticket Sale Start Date allows you to specify the date and time when a ticket becomes available for registration. Until the sale start date and time, customers will not be able to register using this ticket. This feature helps you create anticipation and control the ticket release to generate interest and early registrations.
-
Ticket Sale End Date: The Ticket Sale End Date enables you to set a deadline for ticket sales. After the sale end date and time, customers will no longer be able to register using this ticket. This feature helps create a sense of urgency and encourages prompt ticket purchases.
-
Valid From: The Valid From date and time determine when the ticket becomes valid for use. Customers will not have event access before this specified date and time. This feature ensures that attendees can only enter the event premises when their tickets are valid, maintaining event security and proper scheduling.
-
Valid Till: The Valid Till date and time define the expiration of the ticket's validity. After this specified date and time, customers will no longer have event access using the ticket. This feature helps control access to the event, ensuring that only valid ticket holders can attend.
Managing Ticket Costs by Date
You can use ticket dates to increase ticket costs for users who register later than others.
For example, you can create Early Bird tickets that cost $50 and can be purchased two months before the event. One month before the event, you can make Regular tickets available that cost $100, and in the week before the event, you can shift to Last Minute tickets that cost $150.
Controlling Registration Windows with Tickets
You can control when users are able to register for your event by using either the dates on tickets. For example, you may want to open registration a month before your event takes place but close it five days before the actual date of the event. If you have tickets, you can simply set the ticket dates to only be available up until five days before the event start date.
