Before you get started building, you'll want to choose your Event App publishing option. Review our three publishing options below to help you decide which app solution is the best fit for your event.
Social27 Events App
The Social27 Events app is a quick-publish option within Social27’s own approved container app. Since your events will live within the Social27 Events app, your organization will not have its own branded app icon on attendees' home screens. You'll still be able to customize the branding of your individual events with their own style and personality.
With the Social27 Events app, publishing is easier than ever. Once you're ready to go, just click ‘Publish' and your app is available for attendees! The Social27 Events app is always up to date on the most current version, so you can start using new Event App features as soon as they're released.
Custom App
If branding is especially important to your organization, publishing a custom app is a good option. Instead of hosting your events in the container app, you'll publish your own branded multi-event app that is publicly available for download in the App Store and Google Play.
To publish your own app, you'll need both an Apple Developer account and a Google Play Developer account. These can take up to four weeks to acquire. You will then submit the app (and any future updates) under your own accounts or have a member of our team handle the app submission for you. Each update can also take Apple and Google up to two weeks to review and approve before it's live in stores.
Enterprise Release
An Enterprise release is a good option for organizations that do not want their app publicly available in the App Store or Google Play. Instead, your organization's server will host the app and attendees can only download it from a custom link.
This option requires an Apple Enterprise License. Just like with the traditional Developer License, it can take up to four weeks to acquire. Since your app will be hosted on private servers, there is no two-week review period required. An Enterprise Release does require a higher level of complexity in publishing. Ensure your organization has a technical point of contact ready to take the reins.
NOTE: Don't hesitate to consult your Success Consultant if you have any questions or need help deciding which publishing option is the best choice based on your app and event goals.
