Social27 and Marketo Integration
A Marketing program that can host event registrations as well as accept Leads. Social27 will pull registrants from Marketo Lists using the REST API and create profiles in the Social27, (if they do not already exist), or vice versa.
Enabling Marketo Integration for Your Account
Prerequisites:
- Before setting up the integration, you must first get it enabled. To do this, contact your Customer Success Manager.
- You must also have a Marketo account. If you need to create one, go to marketo.com and contact a Marketo representative.
CREDENTIALS:
Information that Social27 will need from you:
- Account email address
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Endpoint URL
- Identity URL
You can find your Marketo application credentials by visiting LaunchPoint in the Admin section of your Marketo Dashboard.
You can find the credentials for your Marketo account in their respective sections:
- Client ID: Found under Admin > Integration > LaunchPoint > View Details > Client Id on your Marketo dashboard.
- Client Secret: Found under Admin > Integration > LaunchPoint > View Details > Client Secret on your Marketo dashboard.
- Endpoint URL: Found under Admin > Integration > Web Services in the REST API section.
- Identity URL: Found under Admin > Integration > Web Services in the REST API section.
You don’t need any information from Socia27 to set up the integration with Marketo.
Social27 can sync standard profile fields (Social27 to Marketo and Marketo to Social27):
- First and last name
- Title
- Company
- Address
- Phone number
Note: Additional or custom fields can be synced upon request.

Note
- API key is required for API usage and is generated by the developer from your Marketo account.
- If there are any issues with the API, please check the permissions again on Marketo.
- Marketo can set up webhooks that allow Social27 to pull attendees as soon as they register on Marketo. However, this must be configured separately in Marketo.
Integrating Marketo for your event
To integrate Marketo with Social27, log in to the Social27, and once you are in your event, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the integration tab from the Security and Compliance drop-down and click the gear icon on the Marketo tile
2. Select the ticket under which registrations should sync > Toggle on if attendees should be invited to log in on the Social27 platform > Save
3. Copy the API Key and Integration Platform Id, then close the side drawer using the arrow at the top right.
4. Fill in the required fields in the Set up from:
-
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Endpoint URL
- Identity URL
5. After filling in all fields in the integration screen, press the blue "Continue" button to save your credentials.
6. Entre the API key and Platform ID that you copied from the first step
7. Select the list from which you would like to import the user list
Your Account should be connected with Social27
To disconnect the integration, go to the configuration tab as shown in the image below and click on ‘Disconnect’
